that's awesome! Congrats.Just got told a pic if a chick I hatched will be in Backyard poultry mag.
we haven't. I guess we probably should, it'll get them out of that box for a bit!Well them
A couple more weeks of getting coop built and the 4 week olds will be pretty feathered. As long as the temps. stay 60 & 70 they will be good. Are you taking them outside to enjoy the 80 degree weather your having right now?
yes this weather is what we love in Arizona. It doesn't last long because before we know it will be 110+ and we will all be longing for the cooler weather again. I'm hoping I don't have 24 chickens this summer. I don't know if I can keep up with putting the frozen bottles of water out for them like I did last summer for my 4 big girls.Agh...80 degrees I will not see for months! That would make life so much easier!
How eggciting for you, congrats!Just got told a pic if a chick I hatched will be in Backyard poultry mag.
OMG they will love it. I've found that taking them outside is easiest with a portable dog or cat kennel. They will be nervous at first, but eventually they will start braving it out. If something frightens them then they have the kennel to hide in.we haven't. I guess we probably should, it'll get them out of that box for a bit!
