i dont know about selling chicks this time of year generally it is to cold to ship day olds. i'm sure people want chicks though, i dont buy spring chicks because i want the buggers laying before winter sets in and alot of times those spring hens are not laying yet when they go into molt. i'm in the NYD HAL and your going to be closer to it then me i think lol, mine are due Jan 3rd. THe frizzles i will be setting will hatch later in the month though like 10-12th someplace in there, i also have muscovy eggs in the oven that won't hatch until the 17th or the 18th.Hello everyone....i've been waiting to use my new incubator.....sooooooo
I set 7 sizzle EE eggs due to hatch on the 2nd of January(maybe NYD) in my new hover-bator with egg turner. I just love my new incubator...it was easy to set up and it's been staying at a consistent temperature..... i candled all my eggs and they are all developing and so far so good
I crossed my frizzle silkie Roo with my EE hen so this should be a very interesting hatch.
PS...How's the market for selling this time of year for young chicks? seems everyone wants older chicks they don't have to have under heat.![]()
