JANUARY 2015 Hatch-A-Long

I "locked down" my four eggs that are due to hatch on the 13th. The humidity just won't go up! The weather is so dry right, the room the incubator is in its at 10%. Inside the incubator won't go above 45%, no matter how many bowls of water I add. I really need to get a humidifier for the room.
I also had to sneak a peek at my bantam eggs that were set on the 7th. I candled 3 of them and got to see 3 little dots! YAY! DOTS! *happy dance*

Good luck @howfunkyisurchicken hope all goes well for you. I have just candled at day 6 because I just couldn't wait any longer. 14/14 are fertile have good veining and are growing well. I'm so happy with these being my first egg from my own birds. Can't wait for next candling already. Jere are a couple of pics sorry they are not clear the iPad dosnt pic up well in the dark

Congrats, have you ever used clean sponges for raising humidity. Cut them to the size you need for your containers and I even cut mine in some strips for the bottom water trays. Helped me a lot :)

Hi yes they are from my girls I hatched last year. I have two groups of polish. Silver laced frizzle roo with white crested black, chamois and gold lace girls.
Then I have blue splash roo with 5 gold lace girls, 2 of them are frizzle. I'm so excited that they all look good for now I didn't get my hopes up just incase.

How exciting for all of you that are in lockdown! Post pics of those cuties when they are here.

I wish the sun would hurry up and go down today because that's when we said we'd candle and that's when my kids will be home to see! I'm dying to know how many I've got growing.

the long egg I put in the other day was not fertile as suspected but I was right about the double yolk.
sorry your wasn't fertile. I have a long EE egg in my incubator. Chances are it will be too hard for me to tell if there's anything going on in there being I'm a newbie and it's a green egg.
