JANUARY 2015 Hatch-A-Long

Wow, that's a good ride to pick up some eggs! But probably worth it since your air cells are still intact :)

My eggs are still cooking along! 10 EEs and 5 Silkie/Sizzles going strong. They look pretty on track to me, so I guess we'll see if they're on time when its hatch day. I lock down in 2 more days!!!!

Good luck, glad to hear that all is going well :)

here is a chicken tip with an old pic, I put a dish under the waterer, keeps the brooder dry.,
sometimes when blending new chicks to older chicks (5 days diff) I will separate them but let them hear each other

same 2 groups about a week later.

Sooo I'm sitting here at the hospital! I apparently have an 11mm kidney stone. Unfortunately that means my eggs are kind of on their own for a day or 2. I really hope they survive! I will be so sad that I had to have surgery and that I killed all my chickies. And I guess candling is going to be put on hold until I can get home!

I am sure everything will be just fine...tell hubby turn them 3x day and watch temp/humidity. Good luck with your surgery!!! That's a huge stone...you poor thing!

Well hubby will definitely do that if/when he's at home but I'm just worried he won't be home all that much especially tomorrow. I will be surprised if I still get some to hatch! :/
