JANUARY 2015 Hatch-A-Long

YAY! One chick out, and 4 more pips! Woot! The one that pipped the side of the egg is still poking at the same place.
yay! Some of mine poked the same place for a while before zipping. Some even made a pretty big hole before zipping. I don't have much experience but it seems like they all have their own "techniques". Good luck with the rest. Post pics when you can.

Here are my problem babies...two are doing splits and the other has a curled foot. I tried rubber bands but their legs are way too tiny...I only bought like 6 different pony tail holders... Next attempt is sports tape. Then maybe a sandal for the little curly toed one. I set up an infermary so the others stop stepping on the leg. Frustrating...

You could try cutting a band aid into a narrow strip. That's what I used when I had a chick with curled toes. I hope you find something that works.

Aww poor babies, sure hope you have success fixing them.

Day 19 no internal pips yet when I candled. I did use a stronger light & was able to see all moving embryos in all 12 eggs. Last night I was unsure of 4 or 5. I have never had a hatch that didn't have a day 19 pip, so we will see :) Good luck to everyone else that are in lockdown.
