January 2016 Hatch-Come Join Me

Hi Everyone! A new update! LOCKDOWN DAY HAS BEGUN! Day 18 started today and I have removed my eggs from the turner. I have increased the humidity and my eggs are rocking just a bit. So exciting. I find myself wandering down there more often now just to watch the eggs. I have been a little concerned about the humidity mainly because I have 3 therms going and they each say something different. The two in the incubator say it is 70 and 62. The incubator humidity says it is 75. So not quite sure what to think, so I am basing it as an average between the two inside the incubator and saying it is holding roughly around 65%. As for temp, once again the two inside say it is 100 and 102 and the outside one has never been right cause since day 1 it has said it is 96 degrees. So again I base it all on the two inside as an average so I am happy with the temp.

I am hoping to have my first successful hatch, my last one did not work out. I am excited, 9/13 eggs have made it to the end so we shall wait and see. No opening the bator! That is my mantra for now.

I'm listening and watching, but I don't see or hear pipping or peeping. Today is day 20, and they looked good when I took the turner out yesterday. UGH, I don't like the waiting!

Lockdown is so exciting! It didn't take me long to put in another batch of eggs. They should hatch by the 7th, so I have another long wait.

Day 18 for me as well. Can't wait until hatch day. I hope my little bantam egg doesn't hatch early and cause me problems.
