I just set 16 delawares, 8 Australorps, and three barnyard mixes Delaware rooster over rir. It's been a very very long search for Delawares and quite frankly I'm exhausted by it. I'm very grateful to have found the lady I did

Here they are the last night before I kicked them out of the house and into the coop. They are about 5 weeks old here. These are my first pure bred white sussex. They took a lot longer to feather up than the hybrids. Also guessing sex was a lot harder...I thought they were all cockerels at first! The one in the second picture was a hen all along, and now the combs are growing I think I have another pullet too....pretty cool if it actually ends up as perfect 50/50 ratio!
