I had a EE rooster that would breed all the different kinds of hens that I had. I saw it with my own 2 eyes. I never hatched a chick from him that wasn’t from a EE hen. I eventually quit trying. It was a waste of time and incubator space. They were clear eggs, not quitters.I just stuffed 28 eggs into my Nurture Right 360 -- because I'm expecting some clears due to having only 1 rooster over ~21 hens and because I've only been getting about 60-70% hatches.
Having done this, I'll probably have more chicks than I expected, but I'll manage.

Funny. I think 21 hens could still get fertilized, but he would still have his favorites.
I tried that too. The assistant was a little too aggressive and had to go.I'm uncertain if he's maintaining good fertility with so many girls to cover -- that's why I'm raising up one of his sons to be his assistant.
