I have my eggs in octagon 40, not turning for a few days since they were shipped. Turner not plugged in.

I have a Leghorn/blue Isbar mix, prolly a bit of Legbar too, he has a tiny crest. I hatched the bunch out around Thanksgiving, he is just so friendly, doesn't get upset if I pick him up and closes his eyes for a nice cuddle.

First time using a Hovabator - My Genesis has not arrived yet, and I had to set the eggs (going on 10 days) so used the backup. It's holding temp beautifully

We have record low temps here in Florida and the temp has stayed steady (it is in my cupboard). I have taken both plugs out - using natural air humidity. We will see how this dry hatch method works :pop

I was gonna use the janoel 12 but I decided to use a little giant because I couldn’t get the eggs to sit up right in that incubator. The air cells were detached so now I’m using this one. It’s holding a constant temp and humidity. High 30s and low 40s is okay right?
Perfect! I am using dry hatch method in a Hovabator 1602N. We will see how that works

I got a really good dual purpose thermometer and hydrometer digital at tsc. It was $10 and it will tell me the lowest and highest temp it has been so I can know if it fluctuates and also with the humidity and of course will give you the current temperature and humidity.

Thanks! Do you know what brand it is? I’m headed there right now anyways so I’ll try to keep my eye out for it.
