I candled my eggs, day 5, I know it is soon, but I went ahead. (not my first rodeo)

I had one blood ring and one clear Ayam Cemani, a silverlaced orpington clear egg, and one of mine was clear, a tan one... I removed those 4. (before removing I took to a very dark room.)The rest are looking good even my nail polished painted lady egg. (in a separate incubator)

Opened clear eggs, nothing going on, the white dot you look for the bullseye was not fertile. The AC egg had no veins just the loose floating blood ring.

The dark eggs are hard to see in. I am not removing any. And some of the blue ones with a green inner shell are hard to see in.

That's good! Shhhhh.... don't tell anyone, but I am a hatch-a-holic. :lau I ended up buying a second incubator now, because I was hatching my Australorps all summer, and people were coming over to buy the chicks straight run as they hatched out!
Lol..shhh..dont tell anyone, but I've been one for years. :D I just bought more eggs last night. I want me some good layers by late spring, early summer.

Sooooooooo can I just say "YAY GOD for the Genesis Hovabator" ..... it arrived yesterday, I plugged it in today and it has stable temps within 10mins (I kid you not). Stable temp all day, I have just transferred everything over from the 1602N to the Genesis, so let's pray it all works. Candled everything - 20 viable and 5 iffy (very porous eggs and at day 6 not easy to identify if I'm seeing an air sac, veining or what) which I have left in until day 14. Sooooooooo just so so so so so excited about my BCM's and my 2nd Gen Olive Eggers - Hope I have a lot of "pink" hatching :wee

Back to watching and waiting :popView attachment 1231094
Don't go by any bators temp reading. Put a thermometer in there!
