My incubators are back up and running, if the power outage wipes out any of my eggs, then the ones that make it will have been price-y. My home made incubators are still heating and I still have one egg on me that is hatching, "pip" but the incubator is too cold yet. It is on my chest, with the heater pad, and I am breathing heat/moisture. It is talking to me.

I got some amazing eggs in today! I'm super eggcited about my next incubation! Can't wait until all of these eggs finish! I've got some 8 cochins, 5 ameraucanas, 2 bantam cochins, one cream legbar, 12 salmon faverolles, one superblue (not quite sure what that is just yet!), 1 cornish, 1 swedish flower hen, 1 maran, and 4 lemon cuckoo niederrheiner! I'm too eggcited! And my silkies are still in the incubator baking! Hoping that the pop out like some popcorn soon. They should be "ready" in 6 days, hopefully.

Me too! Just barn yard mix, but oh boy, pretty eggs. One little bantam egg.

Also, on the lockdown.. I looked at my cheatsheet from other stuff and it says 55-65%. . The higher you can get it to soften up the shell, the better it is. My incubator only goes up to 70%, but it's a digitally controlled one. I'm sure I could make it higher by putting in a sponge but no reason to do that - I'm sure there is a reason that the maker of the incubator made the hardstop there.

You know you don't really want that. Nope, You just think you do. Just think, if you got that, you would have to hatch a lot, and I mean a lot, of eggs! What are you thinking? Ey??! I will not, I say, I will not be .. the..enabler here. Someone else can buy that for you.

What should the humidity be on lock down

Don't want to go past mid 60's, you are then getting into duck egg humidity. I usually go anywhere from high 50's, to low 60's. I use a still air to incubate.

No one else has hatched after my little barnevelder hatched. I'm like come on chickies!

Today is day 5 for me on these blue Crested Cream Legbar eggs, so I candled them a bit ago before I'm off to get some sleep. I had put 15 eggs in, and I am seeing spider veins in 8 of them. I see no blood rings in the other 7, but they still are looking clear. I put all of the good ones showing the spider veins on one side of the incubator, and moved all the clears over to the other side for now.

I’m going to candle on day 14 what should I see

If you candle on day 16 look at the pointed end it should be dark.
