January Hatch-a-long 2018

My first chick that hatched is doing wonderfully by herself. Unfortunately no one else has hatched yet! This isn't a GREAT photo, but it shows that she's fluffy enough. lol I think it's a barnevelder or barbezieux chick? It was a pale egg with a B on it and I know I bought both, so I have no idea which one.. can you guys help me with which one? I'm hoping Barnevelder, but honestly either would be great. And of course if you know already that it's a girl that would be wonderful, as well. LOL Sorry for the poor quality when it comes to her head, I feel like you can't see much detail. I'll try to post more later. This is just the only one I have right now. She was NOT expected at that time she came.
Also, ignore the 88 and 106 - I had her in an incubator during that time so she wasn't subject to those swings of temps! I was getting it just right for her.View attachment 1232472

If you look close, can you see the little head and beak? 2 weeks today...Thursday.

This baby is very much alive. Lost another though.

Had 6 more babies this morning before I left for work! Making 15! Moved them over to the brooder. Will take more pics when I get home. Still have a few eggs in the bator and may do an assisted hatch or two if needed. Wish me luck!

It is cute when they float around in their shell and bounce off the shell with their little rope lifelines, some times it is as if they are showing off!

Day 7 on my mail order eggs, My eggs that are due on friday, one is is the air cell I put a hot wet cloth in the floor of the incubator, eggs suspended from above, don't let the damp cloth touch eggs.

Oh, last time I candled was on day 5 (except my nail polish egg) but she is in a diff incubator. I think I will candle my second time on day 11/or 12, I know they say 14 but if embryos are looking for the air cell turning in the egg, I don't want to touch on day 14.
