January Hatch-a-long 2018

They grow fast. Here they are stretched out comfy and cozy. Some eggs were mailed yesterday for me. Those are my replacements for this last batch. Tomorrow, some more will be sent. Pure breeds, not mixed, but surprises! I like surprises. I have that cuckoo bluebar out there now that I really like. Wouldn't have ordered those, but these had different breeds. I find out more about a breed this way. Fun.

I miss this group. I'll be sad when the month is over and our hatching completed. I haven't been checking in since my chicks hatched and it feels like I've missed so much. I promise to check I'm daily as I excitedly follow those still going.

Monday the 28th is the scheduled hatch day with a 1st time Ameraucana broody that has been tending to her eggs like a pro. She is setting 5 candled eggs now from Ameraucanas & Blk Australorps. We can hardly wait.

I am looking at my eggs and every little flaw in the egg, I think is a pip, I have them set up so they don't touch, after I preached to everyone let them touch, but I am trying to keep them up right, and hopefully they will not be made into soccer balls.
