I got attacked by my cat earlier today. Nasty nose scratch on my nose. This has turned out to be unhelpful for me. It somehow managed to clean up my sinuses so I can breathe. And smell.

My incubator.... Smells. I think one of the eggs did something bad. I don't see any of the eggs exploded, though. How do I find the source of the stink? Start sniffing them all?I'm kind of terrified to open it now.

But hey, I got my humidity down finally!

Have you candled? How far along are the eggs? Candling for blood rings could be useful. If you are far enough along, you could just chuck the clear eggs out when candling.

They're 11 days along. The problem is some of the eggs are so dark I can't see inside to tell if they're alive or not.

You need a brighter and more focused light. I found a LED flashlight that has just 1 LED and I was able to focus it through a hole in a piece of paper or cardboard taped to the end of the flashlight. It's 350 Lumen only, but the focused light is much brighter. I was able to candle some dark quail eggs this way recently.

I'll try that, thanks! I have to go to Walmart today for something so it would be easy. Non of my local feed type stores carry lights.

Hopefully I can find the source of the smell. It stinks.

Day 15 and I'm so hesitant to candle. Been slacking on turning, nothing awful but bare minimum 2-3 times a day. The longer I don't candle the longer they still have a chance to be alive

Aw I hope there okay, I bet they will be a lot people only turn twice a day so there’s always a chance!

Well my Trader Joe’s doesnt sell quail eggs

if you are interested in hatching quail eggs, I would recommend ordering from myshire farm. you can order direct from website or find them on ebay. great quality, great price, great customer service. shipping to you probably 3 days??

1 week!! sorry for blurry ones....almost impossible to get several still at one time! My big pansy can almost reach top of this brooder
