Awesome!, congrats on the eggs. I'm waiting on my two latest Javas to start laying, as their hatchmate has started crowing. I lucked out and got a white out of my Auburn batch.

Can't wait for the warmer weather to get here, I'm hoping for a broody volunteer or two!

Thanks!
Yeah I can't wait to start hatching them just to see what hatches. They have a nice size to them already they are almost a large light cream.
Very happy with them. They are friendly and a joy it has been getting to know this breed. I wish spring would hurry up so I can hatch.
Or that I had room to hatch now.
Good luck with your last two pullets. Hopefully they will start soon.

did anyone get any javas from this breeder list? I ask becoes I am looking for new blood lines!!

I got 20 black Java chicks in spring 2010. They are beautiful, resourceful birds. Friendly, curious..we love them. They mature quickly. Our cockerals dressed out at just over 4 lbs by five months of age. About 1/4 of them had pink/white feet instead of the bright yellow.

If you'd like to see them, I have posted some pictures on my BYC page.

Birds just had a nice dust bath & were snoozing in the sun on a gate.

None of the birds shown above are your line, they are the new line that I got....
These birds are all just 5 1/2 mo old and from Monte Bowen directly.
Where ya been ??
I was e-mailing you at the 'colorfarm' address I had from last year.
I still have 4 pullets from you, most are descendents of the small hen you have/had & the pullets so far seem to be a bit bigger than she was.
Still need to get a bit bigger.
That hen sure would have made some nice bantam starts !!
And so super sweet !!
