If you all watched Jeopardy tonight then you will know that James Holzhauer RIGHT before beating Ken Jennings record was beaten by Emma Boettcher of the University of Chicago library.
I submit to you: she is a plant. A fake to kick James off the show. My evidence:
1. Trebek said "enough is enough" at the beginning
2. James is actually faster at the buzzer than she is. I recorded it and watched it twice. There is no mistaking it.
3. There are reporters that interviewed her BEFORE the show aired and the video was "leaked" of the show before it aired.
4. Probably the best evidence of all. I googled her. Emma Boettcher doesnt come up on Linkedin quickly. In fact nothing but the stories do. Also a woman who died with that name 100 years ago.
And finally. If you still do not believe me:
I went on the university of chicago's website where she supposedly works.
THERE IS NO EMMA BOETTCHER WORKING THERE. I even went through all of their library staff. No emma. There is an erin...but no emma.
Im guessing they made a deal with James to preserve Ken's record but just watch...she will lose tomorrow. Guaranteed. Because if she is a librarian with a masters in english she would know to never end a sentence with a verb as she did in an interview with the washington post.
Time will tell but I really think this is Jeopardy breaking the rules that it was founded against: you may know all the answers but not the questions.
