Does anyone know, from their own experience, if Jersey Giant eggs really take longer to hatch? I read in a few places that they take 1 - 2 days longer but sometimes one person will hear something and pass the info on to others without actually seeing it for themselves. I just stopped turning mine today (Day 18) So if that is true does one factor in extra turning time?

I hatched eggs from Wynette, a variety of .... JGiants, Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks, Black Copper Marans, Easter Eggers. Of all those ............ the Jersey Giants hatched first. I documented on a (very lengthy) thread.

Oh good, I figured they wouldn't take longer. I mean a chicken's a chicken, right? ALthough I have had some chicks hatch early or late. I guess according to temperature or if they started developing before they were put in the incubator. I just had one chick, not jersey giant, hatch on early day 19 while it was still in the turner!
