That truly sucks. Atleast the black ones may be good breeding stock.I made a disappointing discovery on my white Giant chicks. They have yellow on their legs, which is a disqualification. So we won't be breeding those. I sent some pictures to my mentor of the black ones fearing the worst, but she thinks they look good a their (very) young age. Still too early to make decisions on breeding stock, but I feel a little reassured on the black Giants if the white ones are culls.
He was the head of the flock. He was great to my kid, but did not like me. So, I’d have to keep my eye on him. Maybe it was the laces on my boots - my kid had slip on ones, whereas the laces on mine were long and would move around as I walked. But, nice to his girls. He did not crow very much, which was nice.Such a pretty boy. How was he in temparement? Was he a pet? That is a very big boy. How much did he weigh? Hope you dont mind these questions, the only Jersey Giant cockeral I have ever seen is a jerk lol.
