I'm new to the breeding aspect of Chickens.. I had 6 Jersey Giants and culled those I felt were lesser quality. I realize these birds still have some faults, but I feel they aren't so "extreme" as to not be able to be corrected through a few generations... thoughts?? I currently have 3 chicks from this Trio - they're about 5 weeks old and adorable! Jerseys, especially good quality ones, are extremely hard to find in my area so i'm trying to improve upon that.
Hen #1 - She looks to have some brown in her feathers, but I assure you - she's just filthy

Hen #2

Rooster - If you've seen some of my older threads, you will see the transformation of him.. I bought him without seeing him first and he came to me in horrible condition. His back is a little short, but he's making it look worse considering he just shook his head and his feathers were all poofed up.
