Tinman, watch your roo for any nasal discharge, rales, eye discharge. Hopefully, it is a bug bite. I'm going though an outbreak of some form of Cronic Resiratory Disease, and even though several chickens had swollen sinuses on both sides, I had one with swollen sinuses and around the eye on just one side.
And keep an eye on everyone else, too.
Good luck,
Dale-Ann

CRD- should be named CRUD. Get well soon, everyone!

Kathy, I am surprised they are all blue, and one after another I saw lacing. My DD thinks they run like vultures, LOL. I love watching them run, they're so big.

I like that long back on Big Guy, too.... looks wonderful, like the SOP calls for .... a long back.

Maybelline is just the most gorgeous little beauty I have seen yet! I am partial to the dark blues, and I love her!

Big Guy is a real big guy! But nice so far. I'll get more pics of him and see how SOP he is. It will be fun doing it. And I am clueless about what's good or not.

DeFox, My Roos eye is getting better.I think it is a bug bite. There is no discharge, his poop looks normal,he eats like an Italian, he tries to get some sugar from the girls and he just started to crow about 2 weeks ago and he has one heck of a set of lungs. Him and the roo down the street get going it is funny. Thank for your concern

I found (on page 39 of the colored SOP book) the points system for the SOP. "The General Scale of Points." There are 2 sets of points. One is for white and one is for other than white. The ones with * are points for, "other than white." The only difference in these, from the white, is that the shape and color are different points, but the total in that category is the same. The other points (without the *) are the same, white or not. ..... OK, here are the 100 points broken down:

SYMMETRY: 4 (shape)
WEIGHT OR SIZE: 4 (shape)
CONDITION AND VIGOR: 10 (shape)
COMB: 5 (shape)
BEAK: 3 (2 for shape, 1 for color)
SKULL & FACE: 4 (3 for shape, 1 for color)
EYES: 4 (2 for shape, 2 for color)
WATTLES: 2 (shape)
EARLOBES: 4 (2 for shape, 2 for color)
*NECK: 6 (1 for shape, 5 for color)
*BACK: 12 (6 for shape, 6 for color)
*TAIL: 8 (4 for shape, 4 for color)
*WINGS: 8 (3 for shape, 5 for color)
*BREAST: 10 (5 for shape, 5 for color)
*BODY & FLUFF: 8 (5 for shape, 3 for color)
LEGS & TOES: 8 (5 for shape, 3 for color)

So, it looks to me like that back is really important! 12 points there!
