Hmm...well, those are most definitely not black Jerseys! They don't actually even look like Jerseys to me at all, just from a quick look. Sorry!!

Are they very light blue? They could be blue Jerseys....my computer is kind of old and the screen resolution is not the best, but they look like they could possibly be blues.

I can see why you are confused. As a day old that chick might have passed for a Jersey Giant. Mercy me, now I'd be surprised if that turned out to be a blue or white Giant. You never know, she might be your best layer!

This is so aggravating because I have no personal point of reference...no experience. I just think those giants are so cool to look at and I have read they are docile. I have small kids and want birds they can be around without fear. I went to a show this weekend and saw lots of birds marked as "blue" or "black" and I couldnt tell the difference between a lot of them. These two looked charcoal gray to me. Then these white feathers started. (also my supposed partrige cochin roo is feathering buff and I have what looks like rumpless something or other not a RI white)
