Had one quitter from my four JG eggs from JS Seed in NJ. Others went on lock down Monday the 15th. Hoping the best for the rest.

Well, I'm trying a little experiment here, I marked the chicks that grew longer wing feathers way faster than the others. And they also grew tail feathers before the others as well. I'll see what happens.

My first JG egg hatched. About 3 hours premature from when I set them. Pics on the incubating and hatching thread. Two more to go.
Kathyinmo... Those are cool birds. Is the rooster called a splash?

Honestly, I don't know if he is blue or splash. Here is Wynette's blue rooster to compare to. What do you think? Is mine blue or splash?

I think mine must be splash. I bought 12 (got 13) and have 4 of each color (5 black). here they are when they were younger ....
What do ya think?

NICE. I think that rooster will grow out to be like Wynette's blue. I'm not sure but her's appears to be brown on the neck. Is this SOP for JG's? I have know idea but they all look great to me. My second chick hatched over night. One more to go. I also got 8 eggs from Splash Giants from this site [ordered 6] that went in Monday. Hoping for some as nice as yours. Are they your own stock?

Beautiful!!! I like that cockeral!!! To me he looks to be in between a Blue and a Splash but more on the Blue side.

My Blue rooster has the brown in his feathers and the pullets look like their lacing is brown. Will the brown color change after moult or how do I breed this brown out? Anybody? It seems like a lot of the blues have this undesireable color from what I read on here.

I have blue/black/splash giants and have eggs for sale if anyone is interested. Can provide pics if requested. They are a beautiful bird with the best temperment.
