Hi, I have 3 two year old hatchery girls that I love so much I decided to get more. I have 8 chicks from a breeder, look to be blues. So when they get older, I'll be selling eggs or chicks. I am still looking for one of those light colored splashes, I thought I'd get one in this batch of eggs but no such luck.

Yeah I know when my grandson told me I had to laugh. When my daughter met him 2 years ago he didnt like animals. Then he moved next door to us and had no choice. When we got the giants he went nuts so I finally gave him a pair. He has them both so spoiled My daughter says he goes out to the coop and talks to them. He is even going to start showing them later in the year. I found a few of my pics I cant seem to get any good shots. but here they are. I have more but have to empty my pics on here lol

Seminole I know what you mean the splash are not around much. I have a couple of hens and a rooster, but mine have not yet begun to lay. I gave one to my daughter and hers is laying. just my luck. Was hoping you might have some breeder quality chicks, there are not many around yet.

My Jersey Giants lay a nice sized egg ... I would say large. I do not know the weight. Here is a picture of some hatching eggs ... The ones on top are Jersey Giants eggs I hatched from Wynette, in October, 2009.

Sugar Sand Farm ...
Awwwww, thanks for the pictures! I really love these Giants, and see that you do too! We need to spread the word, so more people have them! There are so few breeders, ya know!

Sugar Sand Farm, beautiful birds!! I just got my first JG chicks and they are only about 1 week old and already can see the differences between them and standard size chicks. Question: does Cobalt your Roo have some reddish or brownish in his hackles?? The reason I'm asking is two of my Blue JG chicks have a little reddish/brownish tinted feathers on there head. I'm just wondering if this is a sign of a Roo?? My other Blue one is a lot darker on her head and then blue in the body. Thanks

Hey Sugar Sand,
Great looking birds! Not sure about something with the SOP on JGs. I have read on this site, can't find it right now though, that the brown on the hackles and saddle are not to SOP. Your Boy Indy won some great prizes, congrats to you and him, but I think I see brown on him. Is this OK now? I just hatched two out of four JG eggs and set eight more last Monday { from Splash Giants}. If I get some that look as good as yours I might try showing them. Good Luck.

I need some help. One of my new black jersey giant peeps had a hard journey yesterday. She (I think) can eat and drink. It can sand when I put her on her feet. She keeps her blance for a while and even trys to take a step or two then falls and is unable to get back up....She made it from 11 pm to 4 am laying until I picked her back up.
