They are pretty hard to find. I had looked myself without success and I went to pick up some silkies and come to find out the guy had 2 day old JG's. Eggs he had gotten in Greenville, GA and said he would not have again after these were gone. I thought it's now or maybe never. I really wasn't set up for them and I was torn about what to do. I got 3 and now I am soooo glad I did. They are a little over 10 weeks and something else personality wise. Out of all the breeds I have experienced so far these are the most people-loving chickens. Not to mention HUGE, they are as big as my RIR hens and only 10 weeks old. Good luck on your search. Let us know if you find any.

Hi Framac. After the show i thought maybe i had better check the thread.......i hvent been on in awhile. Nice pics from the show! i enjoyed meeting you and wish you well w your GIANTS

I had to get rid of my BJG rooster!
He's too MEAN to us and my dogs.
Gosh.. He's only 7 months old and VERY mean.
We didnt like him anymore. so i trading him for a Bantam rooster.
I do love him and wouldnt mind to keep him in pen. but I rather to get rid of him before its get worse.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
Yes it sucked big time! They here just at the point they wher startin to show what they will look like in the end.
Yes I know here are some nice breeders here in NC ,but as of rightnow I only have the blues. Now if I get in to the Blacks I will be bugging Them for some eggs or chicks.
I hope to have all the coops moved down y this weekend and once they are all back in their coops and happy I'll take updated pictures and post them
I know we will keep breeding them and my hubby brags about them more then any of our breeds. So it may be in the cards some blacks.
Wynette I crossed my OE and JG (our old line splash roo) and got some very big jg loking pullets and two roosters we kept. They are laying ust under what the old line did at their age.
I got mint green,Olive and dark brown eggs from them. Very sweet birds too. They are molting ba do to weather change so not gettng much of anything these days.
Great job on the wins! Also glad to see so many new people posting after I dropped off the Mountain to the sandy flats of NC. ( not really but sure feels like it)

I remember getting eggs from a so-called "breeder" and when I got them, all but 3 were not poopy. 2 were cracked. And the rest we cleaned with a damp towel. Not one hatched. In fact one "exploded" under the broody....
Folks, please be careful when purchasing what you are told are "show quality" chicks. There is absolutely NO WAY for a breeder of ANY breed to know that a chick can be show quality at hatch. It may have come from a proven show winner, and that is how it should be phrased.
