So I am VERY interested in getting some Black Jersey Giants! I like how big and pretty they are but I have never had this breed. Are they pretty friendly and are they good egg layers?

My broody Black Jersey Giant just hatched out 6 or 7 babies over the last couple of days. I have blues and blacks. Will try to get pictures of them soon.

Only a week till my JGs hatch! YEY! Never had them before.
How do I tell what colour they are? I set half a dozen black and the other half were blue splash. Oh and will the bottoms of their feet still be (should be) yellow?

The blues will be lighter than the black sort of off black to gray bluish.

Splash will be a lot lighter sort of a dingy yellow.
If you check in previous posts you will find pics of different colored chicks.
