I have 3 chicks birthed!!!! 4 to go. One is def. blue, the two others looked black, now they look silver. Color unknown now.

congrats Seminole if they look silver they might be splash I thought I had blacks but they turned out to be blues

If I am correct we have a male JG breeder that is new and reads these on occasion

, I wonder if he has any mothering instincts? such as carrying biddies underneath his arms

as he cleans the house and does the laundry?

I have 7 B JG chicks from Performance Poultry in Carrying Place, ON and I am getting another 5 SQ on May 30. I was going to keep the hens from the hatchery and the best SQ roo and keep them for my group. What do you think? I want to keep the genetics far apart. How many years before I need to keep new females and get a new unrelated roo?
