All of my eggs hatched black chicks but they all have 1 feather with about an inch of white on each wing???? They were from a Black roo over splash hens. I hatched 31. Have you ever had that happen? ( color I mean) I am still trying to get pics. They are beautiful but i want BLUE!! I bought 17 black hens hoping for blues when they breed. I am going to start breeding pairs at the end of the month. I'm finishing pens now. They are all in the run together now but I am eating/selling the eggs. I wanted to wait until the girls were regular. When they were babies I had 1 chick that was so beautiful!!!!! She had a splash face and mostly black body. Of course I lost her to my stupidity with an old super strong electric fence!
She was so sweet and gentle..... I still regret it! Of course I have the one super huge roo " BIG PAPA" is his name. I am hoping he will be my main breeder. Right now he has alot of compatition and is not the top roo. I am getting rid of 8 roo's this weekend. I posted an add on CL. If no one wants them, I guess it's freezer camp. I keep puting it off but they gotta go! My girls are taking a beating!!!
