My blues and blacks all looked like blacks as chicks, and had that white "tuxedo" as well.

turkeybreeder they DO look like your birds. I was just looking at my photo again-the group shot...and you know those legs look green like my EEs with pink toes... Im so stumped.

I don't raise white Jerseys, mine are B/B/S, but i can tell you that the splashes are born white or VERY light yellow:

Here is a small hatch of B/B/S - there is one splash baby, she is pure, VERY LIGHT yellow:

As I said, I can't speak to whites as I don't raise them, but I honestly cannot imagine a "white" variety that is "blue" at hatch. Any white varieties I've ever had have been light yellow or white at birth. Blues at birth end up blue.

Maybe you go explain to them they are kinda famous and people are waiting on their eggs!....lol It's okay! I get way too excited about all chicken related things. My last hatch my husband would come into the room where the incubator was and see me sitting there staring at it and ask "What do you think you are a mother hen or something?"

White giant chicks do hatch out that way. Its kind of cute. Cackle has picks of the chicks. I only know cause I was considering buying some white ones.

Well, the answer is YES, DUH!

I don't get uber excited about hatching....until day 20! Then, all bets are off, as I'm GLUED to the bator! I've even had neck cramps from craning my neck in all directions, trying to see a pip!

Hahaha Yeah I called my daughter off preschool when we heard a chirp on day 20....LOL It was soooo worth it when she'd run into my room screaming "Another one's coming out!" and seeing the excitement in her eyes!
