Just wanting to throw out a little brag after going on 3 years of breeding. We donated a hen to a 4Her & We won best of breed at Our county fair!! Woohoo!! Waiting for them to send us a pic & We will post!!

I candled the eggs (had a bad smell coming from bator and had to find it fast)
All good but maybe (still very early ) 2 jgs are possible clear ( as in scrambled and such) All are growing GOOD & all the f1 oel are growing like crazy.
On Bobbi's about 6 are possible clear out of that 6 was the one that had the rotten smell.
It looked to be further along then the others. The hen must have been sitting on it.
Even with all of that I should have a great turn out on the eggs.
Hoping all of them hatch!

Can't wait to see them.
I think I will only keep up to 4 (if that) of the other line.
The 2-4 biggest ones I do have 3-4 smaller in size ones.
I want only the biggest ones.
I'll update you as they go. Thanks for all your help!

All but the possible 2 clear are good. Sorry phone must have erased a word and I did not catch it.

only 2 look to be clear they are spotted some so a little harder to see viens that early.
Not even 7 days at the time.
So your girls and roo did you proud!

Sorry about that still getting use to the touch screen.

I can't wait! I keep checking my board on the side of bator to see when they hatch.
I won't candle again till lock down.
Unless something like a rotten egg makes me look in.
I will be taking pictures as so as they dry!

Hello everyone!

I'm brand new to this forum, but I'm totally in love with Jersey Giants, so I thought I'd start here. I've hatched out some chicks from Bobbi Porto, have another batch in the incubator from another member of BYC, and am basically going down the list, getting a few here and a few there. I had a HUGE blue roo when I was a kid, and nobody knew what it was (it was given to us as a gift, and my parents never asked the guy, lol), so everyone just assumed it was a freakishly huge cross. Then I was surfing the web and found a picture on Bobbi's site that was JUST like our old roo, and I started looking up Jersey Giants. Sure enough, they had the docile temperment that we came to love from our roo, and (tehe), they get totally huge. Sooo, I'm in love all over again.

And, if anyone on here has eggs to sell, let me know! I'm still setting up my incubator lineup this summer

I'm especially interested in HUGE and easygoing. Oh, and whites. It's hard to find whites...
