he's very sweet

Yeah, he watches me and his two girls or at least whithever hens outside otherwise he'll walk about 10 feet away on my side, he's still a little chicken. And I can almost just go out their and just grab him. Upy has learned to come to the patio window when the bell is rang thanks to one of my other roosters.

I have a beautiful Jersey Girl and liked her so much that I got a roo this year. Odin is only 10 weeks old and crowing up a storm. I want to get a couple of white JG pullets next year. I want to raise a few blues.

For those of you with whites, were did you get them?

mine is about the same age, no comb or wattles, at least not much, so Im sure she's a she. Can't wait for her to start laying. next spring I'm going to incubate some of her eggs, she'll have only my buff Chantecler for a boyfriend, babies ought to be huge, as he's one big boy already and only 6 months old. excited to see what color shows up, the buff or the black, or a MIX??? oooooooowee

I have decided to keep Upy who was retitled as Empire he took reserve American at the Minnesota State Poultry Junior Show out of 18 or more birds [ can't remember the exact #]. And I came home with a pullet from Vaughn.

I'm green! He had some lovely Giants at the Crossroads show. There were plenty of Giants there, and they were gorgeous to look. To me, there is nothing as handsome as a well-put-together Jersey Giant cock bird!

Greetings! We have a mixed flock from Mypetchicken.com and we have 2 hens that could be either be Black Autralorps or JGs. I read Giants take a long time to mature, about what age did your hens start laying?

Our (black australorp?) hen started laying right around 21-22 weeks of age, guessing this wouldn't be possible if she was a JG? The thing that threw me off was she has fairly yellow feet which I hear is typical only of JG breed.
