LD: the chicks do look like splash. As I understand it the white of JGs is caused by Dominant White . So the simplest explanation, if you are certain they came from white JGs, is that you have a breeder bird or birds which are not pure for white - they only carry a single dose of Dominant White rather than a double dose (You might examine your breeders closely for any black or blue specks in their feathering which may identify them). This would mean they could pass on a non white gene to half of their offspring. If these genes then get together in a mating, colored individuals will result.

Wynette does not breed whites that's Kathy .
They may be a throw back / sport from the whites.
They look color wise like some ee's I have that are white with black penciling or lacing in them.
I will bet they turn a smokey white when feathered in.
Kathy has the whites so you could pm her and see what we thinks maybe she has run into that or knows of someone that has.
Cute chicks what ever color they turn out to be.

Hi! I just purchased my first Jersey Giants. I've admired them since I started keeping chickens a couple of years ago & recently had the opportunity to acquire some. So here are pictures of them. The black one has all black feet, including the soles. They're about 4 weeks old. The black one is much taller than the grey. Also, the grey looks grey to me, not blue. What do you think? Thanks
ETA: These chicks seems flightier than most...I didn't expect that for some reason
