I tried really hard not to post in reference to this but I just have to say something! Please tell me I am not the only perrson this made feel VERY sad???? How many destitute elderly die every year becasue they can't afford a box fan? How many die each winter because they can no longer afford to heat their home and hypothermia finally takes them? How many homeless people freeze to death on the streets????? Quite a few. Your house was 83. Just makes me very, very, sad.

I tried not to post in response to your post either as I hate to feed a troll. After praying long and hard about it I have to say, you make me very, very, sad. You still can't stand the fact that some believe in God while you don't. I pray that this thread continues even though you are trying your hardest to get it closed.

My blessings this week, top of the list, MySon in Law was saved, he never believed in God and at 27 he was saved, and let my Grandson be dedicated, he has set up a bible study in their home and will be going to church. To you that will mean nothing to us that believe in the Savior it will mean everything.

Blessing to you and yours.

I haven't been on this thread for a while...haven't been to BYC for a while actually, so busy! But.....Wow, my life has been blessed beyond measure this week! I started looking for a job for the winter to get out of the house and applied at the corner store...since then the job offers have been rolling in! I have gotten a job as a caretaker for kids with issues through an agency here. I am going to enjoy it immensely. I make my own hours and choose my clientelle! It will be fun!

My cousins came to visit on Thurday and brought me two 10 pound chickens already for the freezer! That was a great surprise! THe said they have a turkey coming for me too! I gave them a pair of silkies for the turkey:>)

I ran into a bear tonight while out walking and told it to get off my road and it did...so I could get home:>) Jesus was really looking after me then...all I wanted to do was run! But somehow held my ground...

I am not a troll...far from it. What I am is a loving, caring, REAL human who feel physially ill when I see people praising a god because a man who was paid to came out and fixed their AC so they could feel a touch more comfortable while people are dying from starvation, heat stroke, etc. It just makes no sense and if one of you could make it then I wouldn't have felt a need to post in the first place.

One of my very dear friends became a christian recently. She changed from being the person who loved everyone and would die trying to save them to a person who says "yes, I think it is alright that god lets small children starve to death in other countries...maybe their parents needed to learn a lesson about him"........that, to me, says it all.

I think maybe your friend still has a little learning to do about God and who He is...I am sorry she discouraged you from believing. We, as Christians are rarely a good example of who God is, after all we are just human. But I love my Lord Jesus with all my heart and I know when he blesses my life. I also know that blessings come from obediance.
The Bible is filled with stories of believers who were blessed by God and non believers who weren't. I don't believe he lets children starve to teach parents lessons...but I do believe that a huge difference comes upon the lives of those who learn to trust him completely and be obediant to his commands

Amen, Morel!

How about we believe what we believe and...er...everyone else believe what they want to believe and all wait until the end of our lives and see who is right or wrong on the subject, shall we? That way, the loving, caring, REAL humans can get physically ill all they want and try not to criticize, or even POST, on a subject in which they profess to not believe. They can live out their lives in all the happiness that comes with being REAL humans, without feeling like they must crush the happiness of others.

That way they can actually PROVE they are indeed loving, caring and REAL humans to the rest of us poor deluded Christian folk by letting us get on with our so-called blessings and praising of our so-called nonexistant God! I mean, if its that sad and disturbing to all the REAL, loving, caring humans, there is always an option to not view the posts, isn't there? Maybe start a post of their own on which to espouse their belief in atheism, so they won't be so saddened on this post?

Not sure what the REAL humans are trying to accomplish here. We will certainly pray for their sadness and also pray that they can refrain from reading posts that make them so very sad....or even replying to said posts, for fear they will become even more saddened by their continued participation in a post that makes them so very sad.

(Sorry, PC, I couldn't help myself! Hadn't been on in awhile and was not surprised to see the same people being obtuse and obstructive to the general warm fuzziness. We can all use warm fuzzies, even if the original post had an agenda!

I have come to realize that God cares about even the smallest thing in our lives. He knows every single hair on our head.....why wouldn't he care if our air conditioner breaks down?
Even today i came home from taking my son to gymnastics and as i got out of the car i said "Dear Lord i just pray that there would be one little egg today"....I went to my coop and guess what? One day short of 20 weeks and there it was.........
I had forgotten in my excitement that i had even uttered that little prayer while getting out of my car.

I just remembered and i thanked Him because he answers even the littlest prayers.

Glad to see all the nice, smug, attitudes.

Here are a few nice news stories. You can read them (not that you will) and just feel blessed knowing that god fixes the AC for the good christians of the world.

http://www.noaawatch.gov/themes/heat.php

http://www.cdc.gov/od/oc/media/pressrel/r010713.htm

Anyway, my point originally was, and still is, when there are people dying because they can't afford to get out of the heat or cold, it is incredibly selfish to thank a god because you could afford to pay someone to remedy that sweltering 83 degree home of yours.

And yes, this thread had an agenda when it started. It was to rub god in the faces of those posting on the thread in favor of a different master. I, personallly, feel lucky to have NO master. I think it is time we started taking care of each other instead of praying someone else might do it.
