Chapter 30

"Uh, Fenix Jr...." Nikki said nervously, "I think we're surrounded..."
As they looked around, about 20 furious raccoons surrounded the 7. They were greatly outnumbered.
"I think we've tresspassed into their den..." Sunny replied nervously as the raccoons approached closer and closer.
"Just watch, you two! I'll show these coons-" Rocky boasted as he attacked one of them, only to be ganged up on by about 10 other coons.
"Brother!" Fenix Jr. and 3 other cockerels shouted, trying to stop the coons by attacking them with their spurs, only to be pinned down by their own raccoons. Nikki tried attacking a coon that was on Rocky, but only got 2 coons pinning her down in the process and not even damaging the coon she attacked. What were they going to do now? With all of the cockerels, which were the only ones who could really kill anything, pinned down, it was pretty much hopeless. Until...
"HEY!!!" Fenix shouted, jumping out of a tree onto the raccoons. "Get off of my sons!!"
Fenix, Rupert, and Sonny all jumped down and spurred the life out of the coons and made them run off. Fenix Jr., the 3 cockerels, and Nikki were all safe, but Rocky was bleeding heavily from the attack.
"Rocky! Are you okay?" Fenix asked. Rocky didn't reply. He was lying on his side, gagging.
"Rocky! ROCKY!!!" Sonny yelled, trying to get his brother to wake up. Sunny ran over, worried about her son.
"Sonny, is that you," Rocky said wearily, barely lifting his head up.
"Yes, it is, brother!!" Sonny said, trying to keep him from dying.
"I'm so cold," Rocky complained, "Come closer!" All of them huddled closely to Rocky. His head then dropped to the ground, and stopped breathing.
"Rocky no! NO!" Sonny cried. "This is all my fault! I'm so sorry Rocky! How am I ever going to tell the truth to Dad?"
"Sonny, you didn't do anything," Sunny said to Sonny as tears filled her eyes. "You did the best you could to protect him from the coons."
It took a minute for Sonny to respond. "And I failed," he said under his breath with rage. "Those raccoons... they will pay." And so, he marched down the hole where the raccoons lived, thirsty for the revenge for his dead brother.
Pitiful cries could be heard from the start of the hole.
"Bella! I'm coming!" Sonny cried out.
"WHAT ARE YOU BEASTS DOING?!!? GET OFF OF MY SISTER!!!!!" He yelled, killing one of the raccoons with his spurs before they could retaliate. There were about 7 raccoons in there, trying to eat Bella alive. One of them tried to attack Sonny, but before a claw touched him, Sonny spurred him in the eye.
"Don't even try to kill me! You're going to die anyways!" Sonny warned. The remaining raccoons tried to escape, but Sonny blocked their exit and killed them all one by one.
"Thanks for saving me," Bella thanked.
"The raccoons have been annihilated," Sonny proudly announced with a wounded Bella on his right.
"Rupert and Sonny, you escort her back to the cave. We need to find Ginger and Jazzy," Fenix said. "After we heard you guys, we ran and told those two to run."

Rupert and Sonny arrived back at their cozy cave. However, no one was in there or in the field!
