Joe has been beaten by someone

We live in Curacao Dutch Antilles, Maybe the med he got has the same ingredients from the one u are telling me he got Trimethoprim and Sulfamethoxazole, and the food he is getting
is called Harrison Bird Foods Juvenile hand feeding formula. I am so paranoid that he is sleeping beside us in the computer room so I can keep an eye on him. We have to give him some water in a syringe 3 times today. for sure I will let u group know how is he doing. I will get an answer about the garlic and the electrolytes by Monday from the vet. He is sleeping in the XL dogs kennels
I have inside the house is a kind of cage for him is kind of huge he likes it he switches from sleeping place when he is sleeping in Birdland. It is a good idea to help him stand the way is showed in the pictures it will help him. He actually is able to stand but the whole wing wrap is heavy and keep him out of balance

First let me say I am so sorry this happened to Joe. I do suggest the sling as well since that will help with digestion and keeping systems well. I'm sure he's still shocky and it will take a while to recover. I hope he does okay.

Thank you

know he is making a strange sound like his gargling,

I will see how to make a homemade sling. Thank you

The medication he is getting, Sulfatrim is a good sulfa antibiotic drug that is used commonly in animals to treat or help prevent infections. Gurgling could be a sign that he is not swallowing his liquids, that his crop is not working well and emptying, or that he is getting mucus in his airway. Here is the link about learning how to tube feed:

we cant find any of those things right now cause they are close the stores, is the way we are feeding him wrong?
are we hurting him instead of helping him?

we are also very insecure how to use that thing we are afraid we might hurt him , I am devastated

I am sure you are doing as well as most of us could do. I just mentioned tube feeding since it is a good way to get the baby bird food and water into him more quickly. Your vet should have tube feeding equipment should you want to try it. Keep up the good work because you seem to have cared for him very well since his injury.

Thank you yes, we are taking care of him we love him dearly, he is our pet rooster, and we have also to dogs ladies and all of them get along. Pray for his recovery
