Joe has been beaten by someone

I am so terribly sorry to hear that you lost your dear Joe. I love my roosters also and know how I would feel if somebody was to harm them. Joe was a very lucky boy to have you as his rooster parents and I'm sure he loved you as much as you did him. Rest assured that you did everything for him that you could and the last gift of love you could show him was to let him fly free.

Not now, but sometime in the future you will run across a scrawny, pea brained but utterly charming little cockerel and while he won't be Joe, he will make you laugh and before you know it, he'll have your heart. He won't fill Joe's spurs but he will grown into the empty place Joe left in your lives. How do I know this? Look at my avatar. That is Big Red. He died about a year ago from an infection. He was a lot like your Joe.

This is The Rock when he was just 6 months old

He was a scrawny little geek of a cockerel, and yes, he is Red's son. He's a year old this month and twice the size his sire was, plus, he's a total charmer. I swore I'd never let myself love another rooster.......guess what......

And it's safe to say that with all the love you had for Joe, and all the love you have to give, in time you will find another rooster. In the mean time, I share your grief and pray that karma is just to the ones who stole his presence from your lives.

Oh my goodness, what sweet pictures of Joe's grave and hiim in his coffin. Again, very sorry for your loss. I agree with the above post--hopefully, you will find another pet as cherished as Joe. Take care.

Thank you very much for your beautifull words . They help carrieng the pain of losing my dear Pet Rooster

Thank you very much, That is the least I could do for him, to give him a dignify place to rest. To show how much was he loved

To all the readers thank you in the name of our family and the memory of our beloved Joe, thank you for all the support, the nice words, the tips. It is strange to come home and there is no Joe.
we live in a neighbourhood that is better not to get a rooster again. He was a rescue, we rescued him when he fled, he came in our yard I guess for support. We give him the best we could in the last 4 years of his tiny life my missions was to make his life amazing in his last years cause we didn't have much information how long roosters live. I can say we did a great job he was happy, he trusted us, he felt home with my husband and me, when the dogs arrived he was so supportive and my parents loved him and the feeling was mutual he trusted them. This is a picture that shows how comfortable he felt at home. This in front our front door you can see he is beside the dogs and he can see inside our house too, this was one of Joe's favourite spots to spend the day.
