Maybe make the chicken “disappear” before your Mom knows what happened? For the record, I’d probably want to fight to keep the chicken too, not sure how that’s toxic?

If you are in Collier County, FL I would move your beloved pet as soon as possible to a safe haven. Even if temporarily and in a month or so bring her back under the cover of darkness. If you only new who the snitch was.... You never know who saw your hen. When or how.

We think it’s our vet or neighbors who snitched. We do live in Collier county Florida. Naples/Bonita springs. We all told my mom the consequences but she is being very ignorant and wants to wait it out to see if they really take her. Could you possibly do me a favor?

I said toxic because my mother yelled at me and wanted to do all this stuff to me when I tried telling her about the warrant and citation on us. I’m thinking about disappearing with it but it’s not my chicken it’s my moms, I just take care of it since I still live with her and I consider this chicken as family because me and this chicken have such a bond. I’m planning on taking her either way or having someone call my mom and tell her how serious a citation and warrant on a chicken is. She doesn’t understand and acts like she owns Florida

Can’t exactly do that, we have cameras all over our house, this idea is kept in mind but my mom would know if I take her with me to my sisters or boyfriend’s house.

Can you just take her to your sister so she is safe even though your mother wants to argue it out?

It’s technically my mothers chicken, not mine so it’s not like I have a say or do in this situation. We are all telling her but she’s being so ignorant ! I ran to my room scream crying because not only will I suffer but so will this chicken. We have a strong and tight bond with her she even comes when her name is called. My sister offered her home same with my boyfriend but my mom of course could care less

Well the favor wasn’t to take her. I was wondering if you could make a call to my mom and kinda act as if your the person sending her more info about the chicken being taken and the citation of thousands of dollars. We are all telling her how serious this is but she isn’t paying much attention. And she calls the guy but he isn’t responding. I was wondering if maybe you could make a call and act on how serious this is and that you’re a messenger from the company saying that she has two weeks, we can kind of plan it out, I can give you my number or some contact info. I really don’t want to give this chicken away she’s like family and we have a very strong bond but my mom is being so ignorant on this situation.

Yeah she’s Been pooping much more now thanks to also the prayers I’ve been doing. Only bad news now is Collier county came to our house today knocking saying we can’t have a chicken where we live at. Guess someone snitched on us for having her even tho we’ve had her for almost 3 years now. My boyfriend says I can move in with them and keep it there and my sister also offered her place, but my mother is being ignorant and isn’t listening that we have to get rid of the chicken at our house. The guy specifically told us we get a citation and a warrant in our home and on the chicken meaning we can’t have the chicken anymore and we have two weeks to get rid of her. My boyfriend offered his place and my sister also offered hers, but my mother is being ignorant and is going to wait it out just to argue with the people who will come with cops and a warrant saying they’re going to take the chicken. My step dad is looking for a new home so we can keep it at our place, but my mom has other ideas and she’s making it worse. It hurts me bc I don’t want to see them take the chicken it’s something I’ll suffer but my mom is so toxic and thinks she owns the whole state. Idk what to do now
