Joined to find advice/tips on getting a necklace out of my chickens insides :(

Welcome to the flock! I unfortunately have no advice on this. Maye she'll poop it out?
I’m hoping and praying she does. Just watching her lose interest in food and her energy levels being low breaks my heart :( the leaves I give her she used to run when I showed her them or when I called her by her name :( she’s not just a chicken she’s family.. our pet :(

When my cat swallowed a long cord I had to give it laxatives every two hours for 48 hours and then it passed. The other option years ago was surgery being very expensive. I pray that your chicken can pass it. I am not sure what would make a chicken have a laxative effect on its system or if that would work for it. Sorry.
What kind of laxative was it? I may look into it but I don’t wanna give her it without knowing. Glad to know your cat was able to pass it. Our furry friends are sometimes hard to understand :(

Jus looked it up… google said
Molasses is often recommended for chickens because of its nutrient content. It is also recommended as a natural laxative for chickens, to "flush out toxins"” not sure if it works for jewelry in chickens or if it helps break it down. Do you know anything about that ^ ?

I once spoke to a surgeon about this sort of problem and he advocated porridge because it forms a doughy mass in the guys that carry things along with it.
He was treating someone who swallowed razor blades.
I am not sure things like molasses and some laxatives will help because a necklace is heavier than water.

What about apple cider vinegar with water and chopped up tomatoes? I was told the acidic of it helps break down the metal.

When he recommended porridge, was it to a person who swallowed razor blades?
