My incubator is scheduled to be delivered on the 19th, so that gives me time to set it up before SpeckledHen's eggs get here!

Wherever temps fluctuate the least and don't go below 70 degrees would probably be the best. Good luck on the hatch. Eggs should be there in a couple of days!

I'm very eggcited!

I will have to put a small space heater (no central h/a) in there. It has a thermostat so I can set it to keep the ambient temp around 70 degrees without it having to run constantly. There are no windows (which is why I didn't pick the unused bedroom), so that's a plus.

I'll post pictures and let you know the results of the unpacking tomorrow. I have to wait until I get home to open the box (currently at work), and no internet there.

The eggs got to "rest" last night and I set them this morning! That makes today as day 1, right? I also put five of my own (barnyard mix) to bring the grand total up to 28 eggs.

SpeckledHen, your packaging is as marvelous as anyone has ever said it was! Not one egg was broken or cracked. I carefully unwrapped every egg, terribly afraid I might drop one! But, I didn't - they're all safe in the 'bator now.
