Joining the ranks (Hatch finished, Pictures on pg 4 - Dial-Up Beware!)

Excellent! Sorry that I had to place the last four on another row! I did tilt the aircells ever-so-slightly upward, at least. I've received eggs before that were laying completely on their sides and they hatched just fine.Glad I could send you have some extras, so hopefully, you'll have a wonderful hatch!!
Boy, I can tell Lexie's eggs in that photo without seeing the writing. Hers are a nice milk chocolate color, aren't they? She's my darkest BR layer.
Good luck, Tara!

Lexie's eggs are the darkest barred rock eggs that I've seen! The flash washed out the colors, they're much darker than what the picture shows (closer to the color of the darker egg on the back row).

No problem with the packing, everything was fine!

These are the first shipped hatching eggs that I've ever had. I'm hoping for the best!

A great big Thank You from me to you and your girls!

Water Wigglers are apparently rare around these parts. There are a couple of places left that I haven't been to but it's lookin' slim.

I am using the Genisis Hova-Bator, the accurite probe (taped to the auto turner rack) reads 100 degrees and the cheapy thermometer (laying beneath the auto turner) that came with the thing reads about 96 degrees.

Oh, and don't get me started on the humidity! I have got to get a good indicator.... I saw a link to an online cigar shop once... *search*

difficult and nerve wracking! I'm only on day 5 at the moment!

Yesterday was day 9 for my shipped hatching eggs from SpeckledHen, so I decided to candle them all. My results were:

BR - all developing save one that formed a blood ring (one of Mandy's eggs), saw movement in six of them.
BR/Buff Orp - all developing, saw movement in five of them.
BR/Amer. test egg - developing, saw movement.
Blue Orp. - developing, saw movement.
Mystery Egg - I saw veining, however the air cell appears to be loose. I haven't seen any movement in this egg yet. I'll wait on it a little longer to see if it develops further.

I've been having humdity problems, I hope that does not affect the future development of the babies. A front moved through yesterday and it's raining all day today. Ambient humidity is running high, which made the humidity in my 'bator rise also.

Those are really wonderful results, Tara! I'm very hopeful for your little bunch of babies. Excellent news! Thank you for posting your candling report. I always like to see what's happening with my babies all over the country. And I cant wait to see what one of Charlotte's babies looks like with Hawkeye as the father.

Day 15 candling report:

Took out the mystery egg, it's development had not changed. I also removed another of Mandy's eggs that I had been watching. It was a quitter.

The remaining eggs are doing great! Everyone is developing nicely and movement is apparent in all of them.

Yep, the blue orp and the ameraucana/BR are still hanging in there!

It's getting harder to candle Charlotte's egg, but I managed to see some movement by shining through the air cell and down into the egg where the baby is. Every one of the buff orp/BR are developing good. I never imagined I would have such results from shipped eggs.
