Juice cleanse

I weighed a few minutes ago and I weighed..........drumroll please................140 POUNDS!!!!!!!!  TA-DA!!!!!!! In 6 days, I have lost 12 pounds :thumbsup   I have not drank juice only. I have to have real food, so I have kept it to juice and something protein. I fried round steak one night-not just ANY round steak, but round steak from a grass fed calf, with NO hormones, NO antibiotics........ YUM!!! :drool  I used extreme self control and only ate 2 small pieces--heck fire I could have ate the whole darn thing!! I also cooked black beans and hambone.......cornbread.......yeah, I ate the beans, but NO cornbread and only 3 teaspoons of the beans. Breakfast is half of the cereal I normally eat,, lunch is juice. Supper is juice plus a VERY small portion of what ever I am cooking. One boiled egg and juice is very satisfying. And I have cut out after supper snacks, although right now I could eat an entire box of Cheezit crackers in the Tabasco flavor. :lau  Sooooooo.........I ate 1/3 cup of homemade salsa-smokin' hot!! No chips-I ate it with a spoon----salsa is juice.....RIGHT? :oops:  I'm gonna go get my juice now :drool  

How did this happen to me? I have been skinny all my life, ate all the candy and fried greasy food I wanted, red meat and everything fattening I could sink my teeth in. In the last 5 years I went from 122 pounds to 152! At first I was glad my ribs didn't stick out, and it was nice to have a curvy butt, but the pounds just kept creeping up on me. I'm done! No more jelly-belly. I'm at 140 pounds, 20 more pounds to go. Somewhere in there I have to do that curse word-EXERCISE. I did spend yesterday and today piling branches and burning them. So maybe that qualifies. :gig

I officially completed the 30 day juice cleanse. Total weight loss for 30 days is 20 lbs. I'm so glad it's over. I feel 100% better. Definitely feel lighter. Definitely have more energy. I'm NOT hungry at all. I will continue to incorporate juices on a daily basis but will do more veggie juices and not so many fruit juices as I did. I think that I could have lost more weight if I had more veggie juices and drank more water. But I am NOT complaining. I am happy. :)

I will follow the instructions on breaking the juice cleanse as far as what I will eat this week.

Congrats to everyone else too! I didn't see it all right away, I was out of town on a little roadtrip to see friends. Where... I blew my diet. Not totally... but I didn't have any juice at all.

My good news... I haven't gained any weight back since Christmas. LOL

Well yesterday was my first day being off the juice cleanse. Believe it or not, my body was craving the juices. I ate 2 bananas and a minneola. I felt a little hungry about 9:00 AM but after I started drinking water, I was fine. I was not hungry the rest of the day. Today, I have had a banana. My co-worker offered me some veggie soup. I poured about 3 tablespoons of veggie soup in a small cup. I will try to eat that for lunch.

After my 30 minutes on the elliptical last night, I drank about 3 glasses of water and I was full.

We'll see how things go from here on out.
 
Funny story about juicing~ my hubby got a brand new juicer (by Sharper Image) in the mail last week. A gift from his son who is big into juicing. So hubby was excited to use it. He opened the box, got it all set up, and proceeded to put in the fruit. It sounded OK at first, but soon we heard a loud, awful noise! He turned it off and found that a big piece of plastic had broken off! Dang, that must have been a hard pear!

Thanks but I can't take full credit. Although I made it the full 30 days, I don't think that I made it 100%. I really didn't do it the correct way. Halfway through, I cheated and drank only fruit juice which I should not have. I should have continued with the veggie juice as well and mixed it. Not having the veggie juice, I found myself a tab bit constipated (excuse me for saying that) but it's true. I know that the green veggie juice would have solved that problem. I will try again next quarter but then I will have experimented with different recipes. I found myself getting bored but it was my fault. I failed to use the recipes that I had.

You can always try again. That's the fun part. :hugs
 
Can someone point me to the diet plan for this? I'm looking through the thread and not seeing it. I have got to do something about these extra 20 lbs, I cant afford new jeans.
