Juice cleanse

I'm on smoothies now, I found some legit veggie smoothies already made at Kroger. Haven't had the time to do it myself in awhile since I've been working.

Work is a physical job, in a garden center. Nothing like moving plants and throwing mulch bags to lose 18 pounds! Since March. Slow and steady! Plus I have some muscles back that I haven't had in years. The new pants I bought for work don't fit anymore unless I tighten up a belt.

To be almost-too-skinny, I only need to lose another 30 pounds, so I'm aiming for 20 more.

Also dropped dressing like Ranch. I had a grilled chicken wrap from Chic-filet without ranch. My tastebuds didn't argue. A high veggie and juice diet really changes the way you taste things.

Stevia, it has to be pure. Off the plant pure. When you buy it ready made, it has fillers that change the taste. Makes it terrible and tart.

I was wondering if any of you that have been juicing have been giving the pulp to the birds? (I don't know if this has already been discussed, but since I really don't have time to read 35 pages! :)

I tried giving my pulp to the birds but they hated it. :sick They didn't touch it.

I split mine four ways, birds, rabbits, dogs and us (I put it in meatloaf). No waste at all here!

Score! I also have gotten my dad to start juicing. : )

Way to go dad !!!!!!!! :thumbsup

I need to get back on it again. I have been eating what I want and that's not good. :/

Okay, my chickens LOVE the pulp. Dogs do too... I can't juice all the time. I think I like to chew my food. I DO think we need to eat less processed stuff.

kuntrygirl--- be sure to also watch Food, Inc. to complete your "grossed out" and "get motivated" mission!!

Ok. Thanks for the tip. I'm going to see if they have it at our local library. Thanks for the heads up!!!!! :)

I juice fast from time to time, but I did a lot of cleansing when I had cancer. I was diagnosed with stage 4 nodular melanoma in 2004. My prognosis was 6 months to a year to live. I declined Chemo and radiation therapies. I wet the natural route. Juicing was a big part of my cancer protocol. Here is a juice that is very refreshing and very good for you.We call it dragons blood.
2 apples, 2 pears 3 or 4 carrots, 1 beet, 1 lime and a chunk of ginger about as big as the tip of your thumb. Run this through a greenstar or similar worm-gear juicer. Pour it over ice and enjoy.
