Three out of five have hatched. No signs of progress from the last two eggs. 23 days is enough time to give them isn't it?

I set eggs on 6/28 and 6/30. I set 54 dozen in all. Some I plan to sell and some I plan to keep. I should end up with something like 500 chicks if they hatch well. I have mixed breed, Legbars, Dominiques, Cuckoo Marans, Easter eggers, and Rhode Island red.

I would candle them before tossing to see if they have some movement..

Wow! thats a lot of eggs,What kind of an incubator are you using? All the best!!!

It is a Natureform Nom45. It holds tons of eggs. It is really only half way filled even.

Do not feel bad. Yesterday I dropped a day 21 egg on a wood floor - a three foot drop or more - and shattered the shell. Blood everywhere. The chick writhed and squirmed for a minute, then died.

That's a tough one, but losses are all part of the game and to be expected.

I'd go so far as 25 or 26 days, I've heard of people having chicks that late oddly enough.

I had a chick hatch on day 28. I counted right, there was just a lot of temperature changes.
