July 2021 Hatch-A-Long

Its wonderful to see everyone's chicks!
After a long wait, mine are getting close! I thought I *might* have heard unzipping under the broody earlier when I checked on her, so all fingers crossed! She's due to hatch the peachicks tonight or tomorrow

Fire is still about 1 day out or so from being on our property. The 10 eggs due on the 27th, six hatched, 4 have pip holes.

9 hatched so far out of the 10, one left, pip hold and that egg I put in one day late. All chicks are black. And should lay blue eggs.

We have chicks! at least 2!
These were posted eggs, so 50% hatch is pretty good - I wonder if she'll hatch the other 2?

We have 3 chicks out of 4 posted eggs - so, very happy with that! 3 days old today and already fluttering to 3x their height!

Just wanted to post a few pictures of my babies that hatched Sadly only 4 made it but it seems like when I hatch shipped eggs it seems like that’s what happens I’m super happy for my four happy, healthy babies though!! Two lavenders, a porcelain and a blue baby.

Little nugget is just past 3 weeks. They are a silkie x aracona polish mix
No male characteristics so far so hoping for girl
