As the Egg Turns.... The Saga Continues
Ewok might look all innocent and sweet. But while I was off picking up my Walmart order he was "Helping" the other chicks by pecking vigorously at their pip cracks. There is shell everywhere. Yoda is even bleeding a little. What a brat! Yoda, Din Djardin, Anakin and now Kylo Ren (*edit, it's Kylo not Han Solo) are all pipped and thanks to Ewok, a little more zipped than they were ready to.
I put a little ointment on the membranes so they wouldn't shrink wrap in the shell while they zip the rest of the way. Meanwhile, the Oh So Helpful and Naughty Ewok is being watched. As long as I'm sitting here, he's happy to lay in the incubator and nap on the side where I'm sitting. But if I walk away, he starts peeping and then goes and picks at the other eggs.
So if I need to leave again, I'm jerking the brat OUT of there. He's dry now, just left him in to encourage the others with his peeping and such.

“Close” hatched by ~6AM today! Unfortunately I didn’t have my phone with me before I ran out the door to get to work, but here is the incubator after I moved the fluffy dry “Close” to the brooder holding my week-olds.

I monitored them until I saw the older ones teach “Close” how to drink (finding food was a snap).
Back inside, here are “Almost” and “Close 3” thinking about zipping.
