I could have sworn I marked all eggs I sent out.. I can't rememeber which I sent you but the light brahmas were marked light brahma so you must have gotten the ones marked Part. Cochin = Partridge Cochin

OK just proves I'm losing my mind. Candled eggs tonight and Part Cochins are all over those eggs. Duh! I had to toss a lot of quiters tonight. Don't know why so many, but I sure wish I hadn't had to do it.

No need to apologize! I am praying for you and this rough time you are going through, and I'm sorry you lost your husband. I know it's got to be tough, I can't even imagine what your going through. I'm thinking of you and very grateful for the eggs you sent! I do have to say I am curious. I'm guessing Marans? I would love a hint on the others ;0) They all look great & fresh. Putting them in the incubator tonight yeah! I'll keep you in my prayers - Thanks Again! Jenn

Meant to ask you how the aircells looked on your eggs.

Your packaging was eggcellent! I can't see into the Marans, a couple cells are loose but I'm going to keep them in the incubator anyway and give them a chance. I'm going to candle soon to see who is developing - I'll keep you posted

I hope you get those Marans to hatch. Hopefully the cells are intact/ I have lost more eggs to cell problems since May.

I swear California POs play foitball with the boxes. So many of us on here have had horrible hatch rates this spring and summer, yet other states are doing great. i was hoping maybe leaving the state would be better.

I got my Partridge Cochins all set up and waiting to see if I can see developement,

I have a problem though with my eggs due the 6th. My Sportsman stopped working in the middle of the day my husbnad Bill died. My youngest daughter bought me a new wafer and thermo, but the problem I believe is the heating element. This is an older bator with the filiment that kind of goes back and forth. There was no live insurance. I have issues with leaving my house except when Bill was with me, so trying to figure out how to make money for us to live on from home and a heating element is no where near anything I can pay for. I had hatchers, but they were set for the 4 lockdowns I had in the Sportsman and I just didn't bother with them at all after things happened and they are molding. I doubt bleach would clean them properly. They are homemade out of styro coolers. Is there a way to do a staggered hatch in the LG that I'm using? Need to lockdown on the 3rd? 2nd? oh geez and the rest aren't due to the 20th. Will bringing the humiduty up drown the eggs I just set? Anyone know what I need to do

The best way to do a staggered hatch is to be FAST getting in and out!! I use a homemade incubator and hatcher. My incubator has 5 egg turners and my hatcher has 5 hatching shelves. I stagger my incubating and hatches year round and have great hatches. I just have everything ready to go before I open the door.

They love them , wanted to know what the breed was I told them it was only a guess but RIR and Buff . Still waiting on the light brama and Part. cochins they should be piping out next week . All 6 eggs looked good so I'm hoping they do good. My turkey hatching success has always been 50/50 so we will see what I do with these. chickenlover54 sent me 4 turkey eggs and I hatched two of those but one died within the first week. The float is acting stupid on the water supply in my hatcher but I'm keeping an eye on it.
