***JULY HATCH-A-LONG come join in***

Same here, Jeremy!
Went to bed with 3 pips at midnight, woke up to a little peeper!
She's about half-fluffed here:

On another thread I read:

Sounded like a great idea, so I made a six-section ball room (OK, so it's more like a conference center

) to keep the chicks separated by parentage.

So this is the left side of the bator:

And you can just barely see the right side... I need a bigger window!

Several more pips now... I'm going to have a hard time leaving them to go celebrate the 4th.

Ok 4/5 BBS bantam faverolles hatched! I have pictures of 3. One was a bit shrink wrapped but the others are great and that one is drying off.

Yes, it was the best present ever! I got 3 babies! I will post pictures soon!

Of 11 turkey eggs, I got three poults. Which is a bit sad, because 9 of them made it to day 18 or so and then just died (I am assuming).

Right now the status is:
4 new hampshire
3 turkey
1 australorps
1 gold brahma
1 "gold brahma"
2 pheasant
and a few more to go, wyandottes and nh I think (I've lost track with all the failed ones).

The "gold" brahma isn't gold or partridge, it's yellow, which I think means buff in this case.

It would be understandable to mistake the two, considering the difference in Norwegian is minute - "gul" vs "gull" (yellow versus gold) - but I DO have one gold, so he must have mislabeled. Oh well, they were free and hatchery stock anyway.
