had one that internally pipped, and then instead of externally pipping, shoved itself into the air cell and died. :( but these 5 are ok, with just the magpie egg left in the incubator working on hatching. The one blue with its mouth open looks like it has a malformed, blind eye, but all things considered, I’m counting this hatch a success so far. 7/7 made it to lockdown, and looks like 6/7 will hatch, so... :D
Glad to see im not the only one that takes photos of her chicks/ducklings on the bed lo, my friends think I'm nuts!

Haha, the first thing I get from family when I show pictures like these is “they’re going to poop on there!” xD
But my brooder is in my bedroom, pretty much beside my bed so it’s the logical place for their photoshoot, in my mind. I also find they panic less when I set them there to take pics of them. Don’t know why. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Lol, mine didn’t go too crazy, they just climbed the mountain of throw pillows and hid behind them. xD I find the ducklings are the worst for flinging themselves in any direction at any time. Lol.
Speaking of ducklings... my magpie finally hatched!

Are you gonna teach it to talk? Or do you need some special permit to keep it?
