Out of 19 I have 5 babies out 1 more half way out, 1 with a large pip hole and 2 with small pips. So hoping to 2 with small pips do something! Those are my Favs... So far only 1 has hatched. 1 is not nearly enough...

Do fav. usually have a hard time hatching? I am hatching some for the first time too. One is out early and I know the others are formed but no more pips. Today is 21 for them. Do I wait or do I ck them? I am use to my own eggs or other kinds so fav. are a new experience.

OMG, so much drama! Some great news of great hatches & chicks pipping. Cute chick pics! Wowee! Some great tips too on ordering hatching eggs for shipping. Great stuff folks! I sure appreciate all of your contributions.

I just shut down my incubator because my 3rd & last hen just joined her daughters in going broody! Yay! I've got mom & daughter side by side in nest boxes with 9 Malines eggs each. The other hen, who was first to go broody, is still setting on 6 BLRW eggs. All are doing a great job so far! Now I can relax until July 23.

locked down my 5 silkie eggs @ 3am this morning- couldn't sleep. now the wait

Well something told me to check the eggs. Good thing too. The temp had fallen again. !!!!!!! ?????? what I wanted to do is not in the book. One egg was cold to the touch. I checked and it chirped. I quickly layed it on a heating pad and pricked its air space and its breathing fine although i don't know if it will make it. The other 4 are dead and beginning to decompose.

. I have one very lonely Fav. that's is healthy and chirping one that might make it from 13 eggs because my one yr. old Genesis hovabator has flipped its lid. The warranty is off now.

I think I will just use a broody or order chicks for awhile my heart is broken. I did ectopses. The chicks were formed but beginning to liquefy.

Oh no!!! So sorry! How horrible! My genesis is wonky too. I think there are some lemon units out there. Grrr! My problem is the hygrometer reading was too low in it, so most of my first hatch drowned. Its hard to take.

I am so sorry! Sometimes these bators are not worth the stress!!!!
