These girls were headed to the fertilizer plant. If I had the money I would have saved everyone of them. Described as Austra Whites, these ladies will need time to acclimate and learn to be 'real' chickens. I don't think the one laying down knows how to stand. There are four of them. One of them knows how to hide. Can you find her? Time to trim toe nails!

Not sure. We put empty gallon milk jugs in unneeded nest boxes so maybe it's a jug?
That's a light bulb. :) One of those new fangled kind my Hubby brought home.
 
Very first time they have touched the ground. These girls have adapted so quickly and learn so fast. Once they realized they had freedom to move, they explored the coop and found their favorite nest box with ease. They survived 0 degree temps with no heat and continue to lay. Though the eggs didn't fare so well.
