WHAT? 6 weeks? Oooo golly. I don't even have a quail house. BTW what should I house them in?

I invited my niece and nephew over to see the quail and our new PBP and they thought they were baby song birds. It's so funny the yay their little minds work. They thought the peafowl eggs were dinosaurs and they were gonna grow up to be bigger than the room.

Be careful-in about a week they will start to fly. They can be pretty difficult to catch if they get out of the brooder!

I agree a butterfly net will be your BEST FRIEND!

I am building a round brooder for mine. It has a wire bottom and laminate sheets for the sides. It is on legs. I am planning to make the door and the top tomorrow . I really need to get them out of that fish tank. And vacation starts crack of dawn Saturday!

My three mystery eggs are now on lockdown too! Soggy Bottom Farms - are they NNs? I am sure you don't want to give me a heart attack when they hatch...

I have 4 eggs, from Sugar Sand Farm, in lock down. Waiting patiently, to see what they are, when they hatch.

Sadly, none of the eggs from Shelly, made it to lock down.

I have 6 in lock down 3 minty green ones and 3 brown ones...Now to keep busy and away from the incubator. In with them are 19 more eggs some mine some from the swap thread...

My quail did start on their escape plan. I can't blame them as they really need more room. My friend was over while I was unloading feed and she saw the quail loose in the garage. I went over and picked it up. It never moved. I think it was scared to be out by itself!

I still have 6 of them. Only two of the eggs from Mr. Heinz are growing. Several of them were very porous with lots of spots, and one was starting to stink.

I clipped my little bobs wings last night, they were escaping from their brooder in the house, and my dog says nom nom nom
